Thank You to Biffa Waste Management
St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School in Hartlepool would like to extend a huge thank you to Biffa Waste Management for their generous donation of trees for our Year 1 and Year 2 pupils.
The children are incredibly excited to care for the trees and watch them grow over the coming months and years.
Bringing Science Learning to Life
This wonderful donation will provide valuable hands-on learning opportunities, helping pupils develop their understanding of plants and the natural world.
As part of their science learning, the children will explore what plants need to grow, identify the different parts of a tree and observe how trees change throughout the seasons.
Learning to Care for the Environment
By taking responsibility for caring for the trees, pupils will gain a greater appreciation of nature and the importance of protecting and nurturing the environment.
The project will encourage children to develop a sense of responsibility while learning how small actions can have a positive impact on the world around them.
Watching the Trees Grow
The children are looking forward to following the trees’ progress and recording their observations as they grow and develop over time.
